    My favorite thing about working at CUA:
    Meeting so many wonderful students, dedicated faculty and caring staff members. Each person I meet has his/her unique life story. Hearing parts of it make me feel connected to the campus community.

    When in D.C. you must: Go see the Korean War Veterans Memorial near the Lincoln Memorial on the National Mall. This memorial, dedicated on July 27, 1995, consists of 19 statues - 14 Army, 3 Marines, 1 Navy and 1 Air Force - that are approximately 7'3" tall in heroic scale.

    My favorite thing about working at CUA:
    The excitement and convenience of being in our nation’s capitol, combined with an intellectually diverse and exciting academic atmosphere, provides the best of both worlds for students, faculty and staff.

    When in D.C. you must: Going out to eat at some of best and most eclectic restaurants in the country.  You’ll find everything from world-renowned fine dining to that great hometown burger joint, and it’s all delicious!

    Being a part of the wonderful community here at my alma mater and showing potential new students what an amazing place CUA is.

    When in D.C. you must: Have lunch at the Jefferson Monument during the Cherry Blossom Festival.

    It is my alma mater so I am happy to be a part of the great community atmosphere once again.

    When in D.C. you must: Catch a Washington Wizards game at the Verizon Center and then walk to the monuments at night with a bunch of friends; it's the best time to explore D.C.!

    When in D.C. you must: Visit U Street, go see a concert at either the 9:30 club or the Black Cat and then go to Ben's Chili Bowl and enjoy some great chili cheese fries.

    When in D.C. you must: Grab breakfast on a Saturday morning at the Waffle Shop across from Ford's Theater and stop by the National Portrait Gallery.

    I love the small residential campus feel of CUA while being in the middle of the best city in the nation!

    When in D.C. you must: visit the FDR monument down by the Potomac River- it's often the forgotten monument, but it's so pretty and unique with all the waterfalls.

    Giving back to my alma mater is wonderful and I love to share with others what a great community Catholic University is.

    When in D.C. you must: I especially enjoy going to the monuments at night! The Cherry Blossom festival is also a great time to explore D.C.!

    My favorite thing about working at CUA:
    I love that I get to meet new people every day and share what CUA has to offer them!

    When in D.C. you must: Take the circulator bus to the Georgetown neighborhood on M street and a walk along the Potomac River. There is something for everyone: trendsetting boutiques, historical landmarks, delicious dining, and the peaceful river all within a few blocks. Another favorite is the National Gallery of Art's Sculpture Garden. During the summer it hosts outdoor jazz bands and during the winter an ice skating rink.

    My favorite thing about CUA are the welcoming people and the beautiful campus - the perfect combination to spend your college years!

    When in D.C. you must: Have a picnic on the National Mall and people watch!  Also, check out the Newseum... it is worth every penny!

    My favorite thing about working at CUA:
    Being able to remain a part of the great CUA community even after graduating. I also enjoy promoting the university to prospective students around the country.

    When in D.C. you must: Get a unique view of Washington’s monuments and cityscape- by kayaking on the Potomac River. Then cross the bridge into Arlington and go to Ray’s Hell Burger for one of the best burgers you’ll ever have.

    The strong sense of community you see every day on campus.  Not to mention the advantages of being located in our nation’s capital!

    When in D.C. you must: Definitely visit the National Zoo.  The exhibits are amazing and the giant pandas are a must see!

    My favorite thing about working at CUA:
    I love working with the students and helping them make educated decisions about their future. The CUA campus is warm and inviting and the faculty and administrators truly care about their students.

    Why I think students from the Midwest would like D.C.: D.C. is a bustling, world wind of activity. There is always something to do and most of the museums are free. The city is overflowing with opportunities for eager students to learn more about the field or major they have chosen.

    You can’t beat working for your alma mater! Its gives me great pride and satisfaction to work with such a great group of students and their families.

    Why I think students from Florida and Puerto Rico would like D.C.:
    Florida and Puerto Rico students would love to be in D.C., because it is an exciting city to live in, especially during an election year. CUA has a beautiful campus with its own metro stop, which gives students access to all that D.C. has to offer.
