Transfer Scholarship Opportunities


CUA Scholarship

Transfer students are automatically considered for academic scholarship. The award amount is variable and determined by the academic achievement at previous institution(s). If student has fewer than 24 college level credits, SAT/ACT test scores and high school transcripts will be used to determine scholarship qualification. International students are not eligible for CUA Scholarship.

Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship

The purpose of the Phi Theta Kappa scholarship is to recognize two-year college student’s academic achievement at their previous institution(s) and for stimulation of interest in continuing academic excellence. To be considered for the PTK scholarship, applicants must provide proof of PTK membership by submitting a copy of the certification of induction or it must be stated on the official college transcript. International Students who are enrolled and transferring from a US two-year college and are a member of PTK with documentation can receive the PTK scholarship. That is the only award available to international students.

Alumni Grant

CUA Alumni may nominate transfer students for a $1,000 Alumni award renewable, which is renewable each year. Completed Alumni Grant Recommendation Forms must be submitted before the transfer application is complete for students to be eligible.

Parish Scholarship

Entering transfer students who are parishioners of Catholic churches throughout the United States may be nominated by their parish pastor for a $3,000 Parish Scholarship, which is renewable. Completed Parish Scholarship Applications must be submitted before the transfer application is complete for students to be eligible.

Family Grant

If two or more dependent children of the same family are concurrently registered as full-time students, pursuing their first undergraduate degree, the older sibling(s) is eligible for a Family Grant of $2,000 per year. The Family Grant is only offered in the fall and spring semesters, no summer awards are available.
