Why did you choose to attend CUA?
I choose to attend CUA because I knew in my heart that I belonged in Washington, DC. The nation's capital is full of history, entertainment and pure excitement. Besides location, CUA just had a sense of community that I witnessed on Odyssey Day that made the decision to attend very easy. I now cannot imagine attending any other university. CUA is a home away from home.

What is your favorite campus activity?
My favorite campus activity is just simply going to the Pryzbyla Center and getting meals with friends. It’s through those meals we all become a family away from our families, making CUA more like home at every meal. We eat, talk and have more laughs than can be counted. It's a very simple joy but a favorite activity of mine on campus.

What is your favorite thing to do in Washington, D.C.?
The one activity I love to do in the city is go to the National Mall and walk from the Capitol to the Washington Monument and, if I'm adventurous, continue to the Lincoln Memorial. There is always activity there and just simply being able to see the Capitol and the Washington Monument, then realizing it’s in your backyard, is an awesome feeling.

Why did you choose to attend CUA?
I chose to attend CUA because the Nursing Program had all I was looking for! The location was definitely another contributing factor - DC is an amazing city for clinical/work opportunity and lots of fun! One of the many great things about Catholic is that you have the “campus-feel” while you are in a city. When touring and “overnighting” at CUA, I felt immediately at home, I knew from the very start I wanted to be at Catholic..

What is your favorite campus activity?
My favorite campus activity at Catholic is studying and doing my homework in the middle of Centennial Village when the weather is nice! Going to Mass at the Basilica Shrine of the Immaculate Conception every Sunday is also an incredible experience!

I have also had great opportunities in the President's Society and volunteering to help those less fortunate.

Washington D.C. has many internship, museum, and simply dining opportunities that most students at Catholic take advantage of.

Why did you choose to attend CUA?
CUA was actually the only school I applied to because I just fell in love with it. I love that CUA’s Catholic identity permeates every aspect of college life and that the campus community is so supportive. Several academic features appealed to me, especially the liberal arts focus, the honors program, the small class sizes, the study abroad options and the opportunity to do research with professors. Finally, I love that CUA is right in the middle of DC and thus all the opportunities that accompany bic city life, yet it still has a beautiful campus with grass and trees.

What is your favorite campus activity?

There is no way that I only have one favorite campus activity, but I really enjoy CUA on Tap, which features speakers who talk about some topic having to do with theology, social justice, and/or culture. There’s an open mic beforehand during which students perform and there’s always free food from a restaurant. Food, friends, and learning something new – it’s hard to top that.
